A. M. Sonnabend, chairman and president, said this was Botany's ninth acquisition since it started to expand and diversify in 1956. Premier manufactures knitted outerwear. Sonnabend said there would be no changes in Premier's management or policies. Irving Saltzman will continue as chairman of the board, and A. Saltzman as president.
