This position is located in the Professional Learning and Outreach Initiatives Office (PLOI) of the Center for Learning, Literacy & Engagement (CLLE) in the Office of the Librarian and reports to the Educational Resources Specialist.  The incumbent in this position will manage the Lewis-Houghton Civics and Democracy Initiative pilot program. The incumbent serves as Program Specialist and 1.) plans, promotes, and coordinates the pilot program; 2.) assists in the management of budgets and finances for the pilot program; and 3.) works with other PLOI staff members to help coordinate activities and projects related to the initiative. The incumbent also performs coordination and administrative activities which are related to the program, such as grant operations, meeting logistics, and other administrative duties.

The Reference Librarian is responsible for providing reference, research, consultation, and liaison services; instructions and training; and security for AFC collections. AFC holds nearly 6 million items in a variety of formats in thousands of individual collections stored in local and remote sites. The collections are among the Library's most varied in medium, format, physical condition, and intellectual property rights requirements, with attendant concerns for security, preservation, and safe handling.

 

The incumbent coordinates and facilitates activities relating to the Library Services information technology (IT) goals through implementation of projects involving the Library’s integrated library system, other enterprise systems, and web enabled applications. Individually, and in collaboration with IT and user organization experts. The incumbent develops and coordinates major program components that include IT support for acquisitions, circulation, cataloging, online public catalogs, inventory, and serials control. The Digital Projects Coordinator acts as liaison with library professionals, IT specialists in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and various working groups throughout the Library involved in technologies and systems supporting the Library's mission. This position is located in the American Folklife Center (AFC), Special Collections Directorate, Researcher and Collection Services (RCS) in the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG) at the Library of Congress. The archivist will work on the Community Collections Grants (CCG) program, part of the Library’s Of The People: Widening the Path initiative. This is a multiyear initiative, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, to connect more deeply with Black, Hispanic, Indigenous and other minority communities by expanding the Library’s collections, using technology to enable storytelling, and offering more internship and fellowship opportunities.

The position is located in the Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK), Library Enterprises (LE), Chief Operating Office (COO) at the Library of Congress (LOC). The incumbent serves as the FEDLINK Manager of FEDLINK, reporting to the FEDLINK Executive Director who provides administrative direction and makes assignments in terms of broadly defined programs or functions, or long-range objectives. This position serves as a Data Analyst located in the Financial Management Directorate (FMD) within the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG) at the Library of Congress (Library) and reports to the Director of Financial Management. FMD provides oversight, stewardship, and risk management for all budgetary and financial management activities of LCSG to support the mission and priorities for the functions and business units that comprise LCSG.

The incumbent serves as a Procurement Analyst in the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), Contracts Team and reports directly to the Assistant Chief, FMD.

The incumbent is responsible for duties in contracts and procurement activities for LCSG mission accomplishment.
