Pokémon Sword & Shield Is the Best Selling Pokémon Since Gold & Silver

and the most boring one. way too linear and the "wild area" is very bland. The environment doesn't feel organic or "wild" at all. Feels more like a bigger safari zone from the older pokemon games. The Pokemon camp is pointless, the story is very predictable, The graphics is some of the worst I've seen on Switch, Online is a clunky mess and it barely works and this has to be the easiest pokemon games I have ever played. There was no challenge at all. I never lost a battle. The only thing I enjoyed in this game is seeing the pokemon walking around freely on the map. 

Ugh it sucks when terrible things like this make money. Same with movies like the live action Aladdin 

...and yet the worst Pokemon game to date.

This game sucked so much that I have trouble putting it into words how disappointing it was

Man... this is awful news considering this is the worst entry (for me) since Diamond and Pearl... Now just more of the same anti-consumer choices will continue with each new entry =(

I think it played it too safe while also experimenting with open world concepts and more gym changes (honestly though, just go back to the regular gym style). The budgeting for Pokemon games must be very conservative, because for two or three generations now it feels like they've been more than capable of giving us what we really want technically speaking, but never really delivering.

The iterative approach is becoming ever more ridiculous. Ultra beasts, mega evolutions (which have been dropped, despite early hopes from the devs themselves that every pokemon would gain a mega form), gigantamax - the franchise is becoming too convoluted, and I think that takes away from what made Pokemon so viable in the first place.

It's a system seller. Always has been, but that's becoming ever more indefensible from a consumer standpoint.



Sigh, unfortunately Gamefreak just got a green light to make another underwhelming Pokemon game. 

Ouch. 
Game Freak was just sent a strong message: Don't bother making the games good.
What I don't hear complained about enough is the core RPG progression. Route, Rival Battle, Gym, Rival Battle, Route, Gym, Rival Battle... 
There are no sub-plots. No SS Anne, Lavender Tower, Pokemon Mansion, Team Rocket's Hideout, etc. The game has nothing outside of "become the Pokemon league champion."

It's alright. I don't really play a Pokemon games, but was always curious. The problem I have the most with Sword is how easy the game is. I don't know, I was kinda hoping that Gym master or whatever would put up a bit more of a fight.

Hope people gave the newer digimon games a shot too. Cyber Sleuth was such a welcome surprise and I can't wait for digimon survive.

If you want them to stop making the same game
Stop buying it 

Sword and shield were good games, not the best but not the worst like the recent games they add a mechanic that will get dropped (and for me adds nothing), the story was standard Pokémon story and the creatures were decent. S&S would be right in the middle in the rankings with Gen V being my favorite and Gen IV being my least favorite.

Always wondered how many people buy both editions of these Pokémon games.

Remember all the protests from people who allegedly weren't going to buy this game? The ones who declared it dead before it ever released?

Well looks like I'm done with pokemon. I bet the next pokemon game will be even worse than this. they have zero reason to change because they are already making money. The games will continue to be terrible.

It's a shame because I love pokemon. I have 5 giant binders of the cards. I have a bunch of plushies and figures of pokemon. I watch all the movies. but I can't continue to support the games.

20+ million in sales, and yet they still made the DLC version exclusive.

Some decent things to build from for the next games as these one's were good but lacking in places. No touch screen usage? I can throw a ball but can interact with the Pokemon more on DS versions than the Switch. Imo they are the Switch equivalent of Diamond/Pearl-first game on it's system so plenty of room to improve like black/white. 

This is obviously due to the Scottish Female Trainer. 🥰😁💗
