Throughout history, the power of words has been shown time and time again. Words have been displayed to inspire change, such as in Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream”. The statement of “I have a dream” inspires hope and unity to the audience, motivating them to strive for equality and a better future. Likewise, in Lyndon B. Johnson's Voting Rights speech he states “Our mission is at once the oldest and the most basic of this country: to right wrong, to do justice, to serve man.”. Through LBJ’s

When he was a young adult he was a teacher for a segregated school and used part of his paycheck on them. I know LBJ's choice was principle because he was a teacher for a segregated school, he was willing to give up his chance at the next presidency, and he got the chance to give his own opinion. LBJ started out teaching in a small poor town.
