Tagawa was a Japanese–American actor, film producer, martial artist, and physiologist. He will be best remembered for his role as the evil sorcerer Shang Tsung in various works of the Mortal Kombat franchise, as well as parts in 47 Ronin, Memoirs of a Geisha, Snow Falling on Cedars, and the TV show The Man in the High Castle.
