I’m Yixuan Li (李怡萱), a senior undergraduate student from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), advised by Prof. Hongxin Wei. Previously, I was a visiting student at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in Spring 2025.

My research mainly focuses on building trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems. Currently, I’m working on uncertainty estimation in Large Language Models (LLMs), and I have a broad interest in uncertainty estimation, hallucination detection, interpretability, and reasoning reliability in LLMs.

I am also drawn to AI for Science, especially where data science meets biomedicine. I am currently studying spatial multi-omics prediction, and I have experience working with Multimodal Learning, Graph Neural Networks, and Medical Imaging. I enjoy building models that feel intuitive and aligned with the underlying logic of scientific phenomena, and I am motivated by the idea that models should highlight meaningful scientific signals and bring their patterns into clearer view.

I am actively seeking PhD opportunities starting in Fall 2026!
