Thank you!

[edit]

Thank you for correcting and adding to my article Fembooks. I usually contribute to German Wikipedia. This has been my first article to English Wikipedia and I am still discovering how to handle the differences of our language versions. Thanks for supporting me! Redpoint - wording improvement?

[edit]

Hello Aszx5000, I've put on the Talk page for Redpoint some amateur suggestions at wording improvements, as someone who knows nothing about rock climbing. I am not planning - at this stage - to put the suggestions into mainspace, but maybe you can have a look at my suggestion? ChrysGalley (talk) 17:29, 3 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Traverse (climbing)

[edit]

On 20 October 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Traverse (climbing), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the world's longest continuous rock climbing route is a horizontal 4,500-metre (14,800 ft) traverse on El Capitan, according to Guinness World Records? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Traverse (climbing) (2nd nomination). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Traverse (climbing)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Rerating

[edit]

Hello, can I ask why you rerated Bedeau camp down to a C? MilHist had rated it B class, is there anything I can do to improve it? Thanks. Joko2468 (talk) 16:21, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Joko2468. Check out Wikipedia:Content assessment which gives guidelines on grading. For obvious reasons, it is not an exact science and different editors will assign different grades for the same articke.
Bedeau camp is a solid C-class article (although, the summary or "lede" is a too short), and would rank well with the Wing article in the Wikipedia Content assessment guidelines.
To get to a solid B-ranking, you want broader coverage of the camp (e.g. geography and physical layout, notable people there etc.). Not necessarily in huge detail (like a WP:FA article), but pretty much all of the main content on the topic that a reader might ask for should be covered in some form. Ice climbing is an example and is not a huge article (unlike Rock climbing), but is does cover all the main areas of the sport. Does that make sense?
